Industrial anti-corrosion protection in Quebec and Ontario
Freeze-thaw cycles, de-icing salts, marine spray, chemicals and moisture can accelerate corrosion of Canadian industrial assets. Induscoat assesses the exposure before recommending a system for structures, tanks, piping and equipment.
The challenge: corrosion degrades your assets silently
Without suitable protection, steel may lose thickness and equipment can reach repair or replacement criteria. In Canada, freeze-thaw, road salts and some industrial environments add exposure. A cost analysis should compare prevention, maintenance, downtime and replacement for the specific asset.
The solution: a system matched to the exposure
Induscoat selects the system, preparation and inspection plan from the environment, substrate, temperature, chemistry and intended durability. ISO 12944 can provide a framework for atmospheric steel structures; immersion zones and other assets require a separate assessment and manufacturer documentation.
Characterization of the environment and service conditions
Surface preparation to the specification and technical data sheet
Application of the selected system within its documented limits
Inspection defined by the project quality plan
Benefits of professional anti-corrosion protection
- Intended durability defined for the project context
- Documented selection for the environment and service
- Comparable maintenance and replacement scenarios
- Resistance to Canadian conditions (freeze, salts, acids)
- Topcoat matched to UV exposure when required
- Full quality documentation (DFT, adhesion, holiday)
Systems we apply
Induscoat selects the anti-corrosion system based on your ISO 12944 environment and service temperature. We apply novolac epoxies, inorganic zincs, polyurethanes, high-temperature silicones, immersion vinyl esters and our own Induscoat formulations for combined abrasion and corrosion.

Frequently asked questions
What is ISO 12944?+
ISO 12944 is a standards series for protecting steel structures with paint systems. It classifies atmospheric environments from C1 to CX and addresses immersion separately through Im categories. Its durability period is a planning concept, not a warranty.
Which ISO 12944 category applies to my site?+
The category must be determined from actual exposure: humidity, contaminants, salts, condensation and local conditions. CX is an extreme atmospheric category; immersion uses Im categories. The contractual edition of the standard should also be identified.
Is blasting needed before applying an anti-corrosion system?+
The preparation grade and anchor profile depend on the system, substrate and specification. SSPC-SP10 may be required for demanding systems, but the technical data sheet and project quality plan remain controlling.
Which sectors do you serve in Canada?+
Mining, power, oil and gas, petrochemical, steel and metallurgy, cement, pulp and paper, infrastructure — in Quebec, Ontario and across Canada.
