Industrial pipe coating
Industrial piping transports corrosive fluids, abrasive slurries, steam and hydrocarbons — at extreme temperatures and pressures. Induscoat applies internal and external coating systems for above-ground, buried and subsea piping: fusion epoxy, polyurethane, vinyl ester, high-temperature tapes and composite repair wraps.
The challenge: corrosion, erosion and leaks on piping
Unprotected or poorly coated pipes corrode internally (aggressive fluids) and externally (moisture, salts, UV). Bends and reducers suffer localised erosion. Fittings suffer galvanic corrosion. A leak on a process line causes downtime, environmental spill and HSE risk. Replacing buried piping is extremely costly and requires excavation.
The solution: internal + external coating systems
Induscoat applies internal linings (pipeline epoxy, vinyl ester for acids, polyurethane for abrasion) that reduce friction, protect the fluid from contamination and extend service life. For the exterior: fusion epoxy, UV polyurethane, HT tapes for steam and composite wraps (ASME PCC-2 / ISO 24817) to repair defects without replacement.
Pipe inspection (UT thickness measurement, visual inspection, leak check)
Surface preparation: SSPC-SP10 blasting or on-site mechanical prep
Internal application (rotating pig) or external (airless + composite wrap)
Holiday test, DFT control and QA/QC report
Benefits of professional pipe coating
- Friction reduction (better flow, less pump load)
- Protection against internal and external corrosion
- Composite-wrap repair without excavation or replacement
- Erosion resistance to slurries and particle loads
- ASME PCC-2 and ISO 24817 certifications for composite repairs
- Typical service life 15 to 30 years depending on service
Systems we apply
Induscoat selects the coating system based on your fluid, temperature and environment (above-ground, buried, subsea). We apply Arcor (fusion epoxy, UV polyurethane, vinyl ester for acids), Chester Molecular (composite repair wraps) and our own Induscoat formulations (anti-erosion ceramic for slurries).

Frequently asked questions
Can you repair a live pipe leak?+
Depending on the fluid, pressure and temperature, tolerant composite wraps can be applied on live or isolated lines. We assess each case with your HSE and process team. For high pressures and hazardous fluids, shutdown remains necessary.
What coating thickness is needed for buried pipe?+
For buried pipe, we apply a multi-layer system: fusion epoxy + adhesive + PE wrap (3LPE type) or a coal-tar epoxy coating with wrap, to AWWA C210 or NACE SP0198. Typical total DFT is 300–600 µm depending on soil and ambient corrosion.
What temperature do your pipe coatings withstand?+
Standard epoxy systems withstand up to 90 °C in immersion. Polyurethane and vinyl-ester high-temperature systems go to 150 °C. For steam and hot processes (up to 230 °C and beyond), we apply high-temperature tapes and mastics (Arcor HT Silicone).
Which sectors do you serve in Canada?+
Oil and gas, petrochemical, mining, power generation, pulp and paper, water treatment — in Quebec, Ontario and across Canada.
