Strategic Advisory

In-depth assessment of your operations and strategic recommendations to improve industrial performance and reduce downtime.

Overview

As independent advisors, Induscoat delivers objective technical assessments grounded in field experience — not vendor bias. We audit coating performance, maintenance workflows, spare parts strategy and asset criticality, then issue prioritized, budget-backed recommendations. Our advisors have worked directly on mining, energy and chemical sites across Quebec, Ontario and Canada, giving us a practical understanding of the operational constraints that purely theoretical recommendations miss.

Typical Applications

  • Coating performance audits
  • Maintenance strategy optimization
  • Spare parts criticality analysis
  • Vendor-independent specification
Problems

Typical Problems We Solve

  • Recurring equipment failures with no root-cause analysis
  • Vendor-biased recommendations pushing over-specified or proprietary solutions
  • Lack of independent technical solution proposals for complex wear and corrosion issues
  • Inconsistent spare parts strategy causing stockouts and emergency purchases
Deliverables

What You Receive

  • Technical audit report with prioritized findings and budget-backed recommendations
  • Independent technical solution proposals (coating systems, materials, foundry grades)
  • Spare parts criticality matrix and recommended stock levels
  • Implementation roadmap with ROI estimate and payback analysis
Timeline

Timeline

2–4 weeks for a technical audit; full advisory engagement typically 4–12 weeks.

FAQ

Service FAQ

Are your recommendations truly independent from product vendors?

Yes. Induscoat is an independent advisor — we are not bound to any single coating manufacturer. While we apply Chester Molecular, Arcor and our own Induscoat systems, our advisory role is to specify the right system for your service conditions, even when it means recommending a different approach. Our proposals are grounded in field experience, not vendor commissions.

Can you propose technical solutions for recurring wear problems?

Yes — preparing technical solution proposals is a core advisory deliverable. We analyze the wear mechanism (abrasion, erosion, corrosion, impact), review operating conditions, and propose material upgrades, foundry grade changes, geometry modifications or coating system changes. We then validate the proposed solution with vendors and deliver a defensible recommendation.

Do you cover foundry grade selection for new cast components?

Yes — foundry grade selection is one of our advisory specialties. Selecting the wrong grade — for example standard carbon steel where chrome-white iron is needed — leads to premature failure and unplanned downtime. We specify the right ASTM grade based on service conditions, work with qualified foundries, and provide material certificates for verification.
